The Emp\u00faries Marathon<\/em><\/strong> is a romantic marathon in a privileged and extremely beautiful environment such as Emp\u00faries<\/em><\/a>, the gateway to Greek and Roman culture on the Iberian Peninsula<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Different circuits are proposed adapted to the abilities or preferences of each person, because not everyone can or wants to run a marathon.<\/span><\/span> Thus, you can choose to participate in any of the three events offered: Marathon, Half Marathon or the 10km Race.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Surely in Emp\u00faries<\/strong> <\/em>you will not find the fastest circuit in the world, but you will find one of the most attractive.<\/span><\/span> Running, you will be able to enjoy unique and privileged places that will surely excite you, because they take place in the incomparable setting formed by the urban centers of L’Escala<\/a> and Sant Mart\u00ed d’Emp\u00faries<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You will be able to enjoy the coastline of the Bay of Roses<\/a><\/em>, which has become part of the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> A distinction with the endorsement of UNESCO, which only thirty bays in the world currently have.<\/span><\/span> Certainly, this distinction recognizes the tourist, landscape and cultural values of our environment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Emp\u00faries Marathon<\/em><\/strong> is usually scheduled for the first Sunday of May, and as is traditional, both the start and finish take place at the Museum of Archeology of Catalonia-Emp\u00faries<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> In fact, before taking the official start, all runners pass through the ancient Greek city of Emp\u00faries<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

An anchovy tasting is also usually served for participants.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Emp\u00faries Marathon<\/em><\/strong> is organized by the L’Escala Town hall Sports Dept. <\/strong><\/em>and has the support of the Catalan Athletics Federation<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
