LLAN\u00c7\u00c0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><!--:ct-->Within the municipality of Llan\u00e7\u00e0 there are numerous forest&nbsp;areas and wide range&nbsp;size &amp; condition beaches: from family beaches with sand or gravel, to very&nbsp;small ones, which one can generally get them on&nbsp;foot.<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-19298\" src=\"https:\/\/cbrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/llansa11.jpg\" alt=\"llansa1\" width=\"274\" height=\"152\"\/><br \/>\nSmall coastal site, 15 km from the French-Spanish border, with an active fishing port and a new yacht harbour..<\/p>\n<p>Llan\u00e7\u00e0 consists of Llan\u00e7\u00e0 village and the Port de Llan\u00e7\u00e0.&nbsp; Llan\u00e7\u00e0, the older village, has a number of historical buildings surrounding the plaza major.&nbsp; The port is newer, having been developed only in the course of this century. Until after the civil war the fishermen of Llan\u00e7\u00e0 lived only in the village and used the port only for their work.&nbsp; Port and village together have approx. 4,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19303\" src=\"https:\/\/cbrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/llansa2.jpg\" alt=\"llansa2\" width=\"285\" height=\"190\"\/> Within the district of Llan\u00e7\u00e0 there are numerous green areas as well as beaches of varying size and condition: from family beaches with sand or gravel to the smallest bays which can usually only be reached on foot or by boat. During the holiday period the number of inhabitants increases until the high season from 1 August to 15 August.&nbsp; Nevertheless, one can describe Llan\u00e7\u00e0 as a fairly quiet and peaceful resort.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-19308\" src=\"https:\/\/cbrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/llansa3.jpg\" alt=\"llansa3\" width=\"238\" height=\"159\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A short historical outline of Llan\u00e7\u00e0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>974, first mention of Llan\u00e7\u00e0 in documents as mansion Lancio.<\/li>\n<li>In the XVII Century frequently visited by pirates.<\/li>\n<li>1691 the port chapel Mare de Deu was built<\/li>\n<li>June, 1726 the last pirate ship was sighted in the bay of Llan\u00e7\u00e0<\/li>\n<li>1759 the current Spain-France border in the Pyrenees was determined<\/li>\n<li>In the XVIII century an economic boom in the production and export of wine and olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Beginning of the XVIII Century a few houses were built in the port of Llan\u00e7\u00e0. Up to the 20 century only about 200 people lived in the port.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-19313\" src=\"https:\/\/cbrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/llansa4.jpg\" alt=\"llansa4\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\"\/>In the XIX century the wine bug [phylloxera] destroyed the wine harvest and ended the area&#8217;s successful wine economy.<\/li>\n<li>In 1870 the tree of liberty in the middle of the current plaza major was planted.<\/li>\n<li>1887 the first train reaches Llan\u00e7\u00e0<\/li>\n<li>1909 and 1913 road improvements to Colera and Vilaju\u00efga<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The sports port of Llan\u00e7\u00e0 offers anchoring for boats up to 12 m. There is a sufficient number of anchorages to rent and for the transit.<\/p>\n<p>Sport facilities are available for cyclists, tennis and all types of water sports.<\/p>\n<p>Infrastructure:<\/p>\n<p>Accommodation in family hotels, pensions or in holiday houses and flats. The houses and flats are mostly rented out through&nbsp; local agencies or privately.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous restaurants, specializing in local seafood, in all price categories are open year round.<\/p>\n<p>Most visitors come from within Catalonia or from France, Belgium and Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Smaller numbers of visitors are from Switzerland, Italy and Russia. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19318\" src=\"https:\/\/cbrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/llansa5.jpg\" alt=\"llansa5\" width=\"297\" height=\"180\"\/> The night life (discotheques and pubs) is good in the summer months without an excessive noise level. Public security is excellent. Coastal resorts and the countryside can be reached comfortably and quickly by car.
