With the numbers 1053, 1074 and 1050
Call-by-call telephone services have been around for a few years. The caller dials an additional specific code number prior to the telephone number and enjoys considerably cheaper rates than with the Spanish phone company Telefonica. The cheaper rates are not only valid for foreign country calls but also for conversations within Spain.
We have reviewed information for our CapCreus online-readers and have selected Spain’s most favourable provider:
CallByCall SL with headquarters on Gran Canaria. Thus, one can get the cheapest rates, and since the firm is located on the Canarian islands the value-added tax (IVA) of 16 % is also avoided. There is not any basic monthly fee, no minimum consumption, no call rate, etc., and the conversations are measured by the second and the billing comes monthly with single list of your calls.
Telephone conversations from Spain to countries of EU or to the USA cost only 6,5 cents per minute (vs. Telefonica at 27,7 cent). The rate is valid around the clock and every day. Local calls cost 2,9 cents (Telefonica 6,85) per minute, and long-distance calls within Spain only 5,4 cents per minute.

How does one
enjoy the pleasure of these cheap rates?
It is in fact very simple. Open and print the application form. Fill it out and send it either by fax to number (0034) 928145531 or send it by post to Call by call Canarias S.L., Edificio Info Canarias, Calle San Salvador, E- of 35109 El Tablero / grain Canaria. About one week after they receive your application the (Spanish) telephone number indicated by you in the application will be linked by CallByCall and you will need to only dial the number 1053, 1074 or 1050 before every telephone number. You get then a bill monthly listing all conversations, the charges will be deducted from your bank. With the bill you’ll also receive a list of similarly cheaper tolls to other locations in addition to the EU and the USA.
